Sweet and Fashion Briefs

Sanspointe Dance Company brings Code f.a.d Company from Raleigh, NC, to Birmingham to present their multimedia dance work “Fashion Briefs” at the CDF Studio Theatre Thursday, March 8 through Saturday, March 10. Opening the concert will be a new work of choreography “Sweet” by Sanspointe Artistic Director Rhea Speights.

Code f.a.d., where f.a.d. is an acronym for film, art, and dance, is headed by Artistic Director Autumn Belk whose piece “Fashion Briefs” is a collection of short dance works inspired by the lives and work of famous fashion designers, from the humorous antics of Louis Vuitton to the murderous and vengeful Gucci family. “Fashion Briefs” features an original soundscore by G. Todd Buker. It premiered at the Houston Fringe Festival in May 2010.
